Collection
- Hydrocarbon Waste collected and treated include black jack - grease, used mineral oil, oily waters and oily sludges and contaminated hydrocarbon cleaning materials.
- Waste is collected and transported in hazardous waste registered trucks to the closest reprocessing plant. Future Research and development projects will enable waste streams to be treated and re-refined onsite.
Reprocessing
- Reprocessing plants have been designed specifically to handle hydrocarbon and related waste products, ensuring the refined product is reprocessed to the relevant Australian standards for recycling as a base oil, fuel oil and gear oil.
Recycled Products
- All Hydrocarbon waste once reprocessed using our hydrocarbon refinery can be reused by the client as a fuel oil, grease, gear oil, transmission oil or hydraulic oil.
- The fuel oil is reused in onsite machinery and vehicles.
- The recycled grease is mixed with virgin oils and reused in machinery.
- Gear, transmission and hydraulic oil's supplied in drums onsite for reuse.

Diesel Fuel Standards –Oz Future Fuels regularly has fuel samples tested to ensure fuel blends meet Australian Diesel fuel Standards.
2. Emission Testing onsite for vehicles and machinery
An onsite emission testing service is available. Oz Future Fuels has an Emission testing vehicle with necessary equipment for exhaust analysis.
The testing equipment is able to measure greenhouse gas determinations for:
• NOx (Oxides of Nitrogen)
• THC (Total Hydrocarbon)
• CO (Carbon Monoxide)
• CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) and CH4 (Methane)

• Test conducted and methodology
• Emission test results for two cycles - standard Diesel and recycled fuel oil
• Evaluation of emission improvements from using recycled products
